 HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY JOE!

70? What the? How did this happen? You're catching up to us! Oh, wait.......guess that will never happen.

Joe, we are so happy to wish you a wonderful birthday, but just wish we could do so in person. We haven't known you for very long, but truly can say we felt a terrific connection the very first time we met! And why wouldn't we? Seldom, if ever, have we met anyone as welcoming as you and Karen. We'll never forget Sunday, May 13, 2018, the day we closed on our new home in Stonebridge. Upon doing so, the realtor suggested we go next door to meet our new "roof-mates."  We hesitated. Good grief....it was Mother's Day. We could see you had guests, and did not want to impose on you by just dropping in, unannounced, on a holiday when you likely were with family. But, he prevailed, and reluctantly we rang your bell. We could not believe the warm welcome we received! You invited us, total strangers, into your home to meet family and partake in your festivities, which included amazing food and drink. We immediately knew we would be fast friends.

During the time we shared a roof (and a bedroom wall!), we enjoyed so many fun times with you and Karen.  We look forward to your return from Italy for a thousand reasons, including (Fred) enjoying a bourbon and cigar with you, another dinner(s) at Mancini's with you both, and just getting together to catch up and have many hearty laughs. We miss those days!

One of the happiest days ever was that Mother's Day we all met. One of the saddest days ever was the day you moved away. Though we are so happy you love your beautiful home in HIghland, we miss having you just on the other side of the wall! But, we know there will be many fun times to come!

We will be thinking of you and will raise a glass to you on your on your special day! Happiest of birthdays to you!

With much love,

Fred & Stephanie

  1. It was a pleasure sharing a roof top with you. It was very difficult leaving neighbors as great as you. I'm happy we've managed to stay in touch, and I look forward to seeing you again. And, perhaps some more mischief with Fred, a cigar and bourbon. Thank you very much for this post.
